Plugins/utilities to help with various languages/charsets
- Eudora Tables Emporium a collection of Tables plug-ins for exchanging email in about twenty-five languages, including North, West and East European (Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Lappish, German, Scandinavian etc.), Baltic, Romanian, Cyrillic (Russian, Ukrainian), Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Thai and East Asian languages. Allows exchange with
various mail systems, including other Mac, DOS, Windows and Unix foreign-language systems.
- Look for Eudora Central/East Europe on the HyperArchive. These tables for Eudora [Light] enable you to send and read mail containing special European letters from the Albanian, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, and Slovenian languages.
- Look for Eudora Cyrillic on the HyperArchive. Existing tables are defective in not being reversible and in supporting only one alphabet (Russian) and only one character set (KOI8-R). On the contrary, these reversible tables support all Slavic Cyrillic alphabets and the following character sets: Mac Cyrillic, KOI8 (ISO-IR-111), ISO-8859-5, Code Page 1251.
- Eudora Thai tables enable you to send and read e-mail in Thai. They can be used with any version of Eudora. Supported character sets are: MacThai, ISO-8859-11 (Unix), and Code Page 874 (DOS and Windows). Fonts are not included.
- Eudora Greek tables enable you to send and read e-mail in Gree. They can be used with any version of Eudora. Supported character sets are MacGreek, ISO-8859-7 = ELOT 928 (Unix), Code Page 1253 (MS Windows), Code Pages 737, 869 (MS-DOS and OS/2).
- International Dictionaries (British, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish)
- UK Dictionary is a British English dictionary file for use with any version of Spellswell.
- Japanese Plug-in by Hide Itoh
- Sans-Faute/Grammaire 2
[française] [english]: The French spelling and grammar checker for all software, including Eudora. For Eudora Pro, you can add it as a Word Service. For Eudora Light it runs with an AppleScript. For more information, contact SFG@netinfo.fr
- EUTestMailOut by John Delacour is a utility especially useful for people who are having problems with transliteration tables and want to check exactly what is being transmitted. You can also see exactly
how the MIME headers are created and how 8-bit text is encoded in Quoted printable or files in base64 or BinHex or UU. This information is not usually immediately accessible.
- EU_CJKTables by John Delacour will display a code/charset option in the Change menu allowing you to specify the charset header for Chinese, Mac-Japanese (Shift_JIS) or Korean and prevent Eudora from transliterating and generally ignoring the RFC. These options are available, for obvious reasons, only while you creating mail. The menu option for repairing wrongly sent CJK messages from PC and UNIX is now renamed garbage->good stuff and is available only when you are reading mail.
- Vietnamese Plugin for Eudora
