Terminology:
- Discussion: means interaction among list subscribers

- TalkList offers hosting using either LetterRip or Lyris.
- WeBeLists uses Lyris.
- WebCircle can design and implement modest sized lists.
- WebCrossing. You can buy their software, or they can host for you, either on your hardware or theirs. They also have optional community/list management features (i.e. their staff will welcome new members, handle abuse, etc.)
- win.net uses Majordomo
Announce-only/newsletter hosting:
- Email Club lets you have postcards at your retail location for people to sign up for your list.
- OptoMail, based in Japan. (English and Japanese web pages)
- Savicom
- emailforms by Tugnut offers you web-based e-mail merge with multiple customizable fields. (i.e. useful for more than just addressing the customer by name; you can add registration codes, billing data, etc.)

- Lyris ListManager by Lyris Technologies, Inc. has an easy to use web interface. Additionally, with the billing utility you can easily bill for the mailing lists you host. The Multiview feature makes it so that the mailing lists can be read and posted to via newsreading software.
