- easypop3 is a POP3 socket for RealBasic
- Email Effects by Sig Software helps you create ASCII art.
- FileMaker Pro Tools by CNS. SMTPIt and POP3It plugins.
- .mail.it by Dacons lets you send/receive/manage e-mail, including attachments, with your new or existing FileMaker Pro database.
- Mail Agent by Max Ribuoli's Software allows you to send e-mail directly from FileMaker without the use of an external e-mail application. You can also download mail.
- Mail OSAX is a scripting addition that adds the ability to send e-mail messages from an AppleScript via your SMTP server.
- MondoMail by Acme Technologies:
- MondoMail FileMaker Edition is a plugin for FileMaker which offers email sending (with attachments support coming this month), plus an http command to download data directly into FileMaker databases.
- MondoMail Pro is a scriptable e-Mail client for use with AppleScript, Tango Enterprise, WebSiphon or any application that can send Apple events.
- And a freeware version of MondoMail which provides basic scriptable e-mail sending capabilities.
- NotifyMail by Scott Gruby. NotifyMail is an application that works with various servers to notify e-mail applications that mail has arrived at that user's account. Their e-mail program can then retrieve e-mail messages as they arrive, rather than having to poll the server every n minutes to see if new mail has arrived.
- Pantomime "provides a set of Objective-C classes that model a mail system. Pantomime can be seen as a JavaMail 1.2 clone written in Objective-C."
- SMTPMailIt by Hi-Resolution Software, is an applescriptable SMTP mailer.

Spell Checkers:
- OEM speller from Working Software, makers of Spellswell. There are three choices -- compiling the OEM speller into your code, implementing the Get and Set Data Apple Events on your text, and implementing the Apple Events Word Services Suite.
- Spellwright by Lextek is a toolkit for incorporating spell checking into your application.
