Branding and Co-branding web mail services

This page is for listing services that specialize in branding and cobranding webmail services. This means that they offer to host or install web-mail software in exchange for part of the revenue generated by ads. The targets are web sites and ISPs. Definitions:

• POP/IMAP access means that one can use POP/IMAP client to retrieve mail from the service.
• Remote POP/IMAP means that one can use the service to retrieve mail from other POP/IMAP boxes/accounts.
• I'm using branding/cobranding interchangeably, although technically branded means just your brand, cobranded means your brand and the name of the company providing the webmail service.
• If anyone has better terms for the above, let me know, but as I go through the below I will differentiate which ones have either or both of the above.

• BigMailBox.com offers cobranded e-mail for domains now, and will offer cobranded e-mail for non-domain sites soon.
• BN3 offers web-based free email, free pop/smtp and email forwarding. Owner of the domain can customize the web-interface to put on their own private brand. BN3 also offers a complete DNS management system for your domain so you can actually point your web site elsewhere while let BN3 host your email.
• BrowserExpress by Progressive Software Solutions. Allows users to check their existing POP3 mail accounts and to send mail using the return address for that account. Has support for attachments and integrated LDAP functionality. Allows you to easily brand the pages with your logo. Can license the software or have PSS host on their site and do the setup for you.
• Chek.com
• CoconutSoftware services range from co-branded services from your domain, through to licensing for Enterprise applications. Coconut also run completely branded managed services with no co-ownership of userbase.
• CommTouch can do large sites or their ZapZone is meant for small sites.
• Critical Path specializes in outsourced messaging services to portals, corporations and ISPs. Does not require the use of its brand - serves as "the brand behind the brand"
• Electric WebMail for Portals "Electric WebMail's premium services include inbound and outbound virus scanning of all email attachments, automatic message forwarding, as well as additional message storage capacity. Other features include attachment capabilities, address books, and signature files options."

• Entergroup offers X-presso Mail for Websites and Portals, Fidelity Mail for Enterprises and Institutions, and Pinnacle Mail -- Carrier Grade Email for Service Providers

• IP Applications is a " wholesale Internet application services provider" -- looks like it's geared towards large ISPs/portals
• LANmail.com can handle your corporate or cobranded webmail, with accounts for web, IMAP, and POP access.
• MAIL1.com offers ALL-IN-1 Business Email with hosted, domain-based POP/IMAP/Webmail accounts for companies and workgroups.
• Mailcity by Lycos. Use the Lycos Business Development page to inquire about cobranded webmail and/or other cobranded web services (people finder, search engine, etc.).

• MailBranding.com is designed for sites that have a substantial number of visitors and an advertising network in place. Their is a cost based on the number of email accounts. You control the design, look and any advertising throughout your WebMail network.
